About By Way of the Word

Helping people follow Jesus faithfully.

By Way of the Word grew from a simple conviction: faithful Bible teaching should lead us to know Christ more deeply, understand His Word more clearly, and live as His people wherever He has placed us—all for the glory of God.

Meet Chad Tucker

Dr. Chad Tucker has more than 25 years of ministry experience as a pastor, church planter, Bible teacher, professor, and missional consultant. Across churches of different sizes, traditions, and stages of development, his work has been shaped by a consistent commitment to expository preaching, discipleship, and the mission of the local church.

Chad earned a Doctor of Ministry and a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages and a concentration in Preaching from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and Counseling from Judson College at Southeastern.

His doctoral work, Great Commission Resurgence Principles for Missional Living Through Expository Preaching and Sermon-Based, Application-Oriented Small Groups, explored how biblical preaching and small groups can cultivate missional living.

He has also taught at Carolina Bible Institute & Seminary, including courses in expository preaching, New Testament Greek, biblical studies, pastoral leadership, evangelism, and Logos Bible Software.

Chad and his wife, Michelle, have been married for more than 29 years and have four children. He created By Way of the Word as a place to share the fruit of ongoing study and ministry with others who want to follow Jesus faithfully.

What Guides the Ministry

Conviction with humility.

Scripture first

God’s Word sets the message, direction, and boundaries of the work.

Christ-centered

Every resource ultimately seeks to help people know and follow Jesus.

Church-minded

The ministry supports life and service within the local church rather than replacing it.

Mission-shaped

Biblical truth should form faithful disciples who live as witnesses in everyday life.
